A love of the game that began at age five.
Scott Christian began playing soccer at just five years old with the St. Paul Panthers recreational team. By age nine he had earned a place on the Northern Kentucky Cobras select B-level squad, eventually advancing to their A-level team.
From an early age, Scott demonstrated exceptional talent and a dedication to the sport that set him apart. But those who knew him remember just as clearly the kind of young man he was off the field, grounded in his faith, his family, his schoolwork, and his community.

- Starting varsity player and leading scorer for the Boone County High School Rebels
- Second-highest scorer in the regional area
- Member of the Kentucky Olympic Development Team
- Participant on the Midwest Soccer Academy All-Star Team
- U.S. Youth Soccer All-Star Team ambassador to Holland, scoring 18 goals in 10 matches
- Indoor soccer player in Cincinnati
“A trailblazer — others will follow him.”
One of Scott's coaches described him not as a follower, but as a leader: “A trailblazer, and others will follow him.” It was a fitting description of a young man who viewed winning not as a trophy but as an ongoing process of growth and self-improvement.
Scott credited his abilities to God and drew strength from his connections to family, academics, school, and community. His ultimate dream was to become a professional soccer player, at home or abroad, representing the ideals of commitment and accomplishment that defined how he lived.

Carrying his legacy forward
The Scott Christian Memorial Soccer Foundation was created so that the values Scott embodied (talent nurtured by character, faith, and community) continue to shape young athletes across Northern Kentucky.
